So so cold

My toes are numb. And so's my tum...it's fricken cold around my bum...

hee hee

I in weird mood. I have too much freedom and independence I don't know what to do with myself...I dropped my boy off at work this morn and I have the car all day. I could go anywhere! Do anything. But I'm too cold I don't want to leave the comfort of my heater and big brown blanket...mmmm big brown...so warm and cuddly.

Yesterday it was my Mumsie's birthday and we had dinner round at my big bro's house. Man can that dude cook. We had this yum as rice risotto (made from scratch might I add) for the first course, then fettuccine with this yummy tomatoey sauce with fish balls with pine nuts. Ohmigod it was good...but I was like full as after the first course! And I'm usually such a fuss bum I was so surprised I liked it all! Now my cooking is sooo put to shame...chicken burgers for tea tonight!!

Man bring on Gilmore Girls Season 6 I say.

What the...?

Ok so the car that I was looking at buying, the Bluebird, turned out to have like 6 inches of rust in one of the doors...and my friend N the 'honest' car salesman (now ain't that a contradiction!) didn't wanna sell me it, which is fine by me! So he's on the lookout for a car for me and reckons he'll have one by the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

Now some interesting news...I had an "interview" (it's in quotations cos it was soooooo not an interview) with HR consulting for a job at ACC. This happened last Wednesday. Now I walked in not knowing what to expect at all, and they plonked me down in front of a computer and I was told to take the typing test which was approx 5 mins. Now I'm an average typist, took typing at school and was marked on it at tech, but when the pressure's on man it all just turns to poos. You have no idea how many mistakes I made and then backspaced to change...I really sucked. So I just got on with it anyways and did the best I could do under the circumstances. So that finished and I was then told that I had 12 minutes (12 minutes!!! what the hell is up with that random number!!???) to answer 50...yes FIFTY...questions. In my head I was chanting "What the hell? What the hell?" over and over. Now these questions I assumed to be about myself or in the very least about the previous experience I had etc. But oh no...I assume they thought it was some sort of psychological test...but boy I have my honours in Psychology and I ain't seen nuttin like this before. I'm talking OLD SCHOOL questions! If I had 3 sweets for 10cents how many sweets would I have with 50cents. But with fractions, and other dumb questions like CANVASS, CANVAS - do the have the same meaning, the opposite meaning or neither the same nor opposite. Ok do you get the picture??? The lady had said to me that pretty much no one answers the whole 50 and if I seemed to be taking too long on a question then just move on. Oh so I did!! I left that fricken building with a "I won't hold my breath" attitude, because "I sucked poos at that one!"...

But then I got a phone call yesterday saying I had made it to the next stage and could I please come in on Thursday at 4.30pm. I was a little shocked so said yes...but now I have no idea what to expect of Thursday's "interview". Will I have to have a medical examination? Perhaps I will have to rub my tummy and pat my head for 7 minutes? And the question remains...just how badly did the other applicants do to make me applicable for the next stage????

This one's for Amy

My lil boy is so cute...no one sees the cuteness but me. My boyf thinks he's the most annoying thing in the world cos alls he sees is the crying for food. I see the love and cuddles and how much he knows I am his and he is mine. He follows me whereever I go in walking distance, people call him my lil dog cos he follows me like one. He knows he is safe with me and he'd never get hurt, and best of all, he knows that I'd never let him starve!!

Why is my head so big?

Ok so I'm not going to get into the habit of writing 3 blogs a day...or maybe I will...who knows? I am finding this all very fun and hope the joy of it doesn't wear thin too fast. This blog is about hair. I am very thankful for hair...for a number of reasons. Firstly hair hides bizarre pimples or bumps that seem to pop up every now and then on your head and which can be painful and not so fun. It also hides the fact that your head may be HUGE or shaped obscurely in comparison to 'normal' sized heads. It really sucks when your head is too big that you can't wear cool looking hats when you really really want to and all your friends get to try on cool looking hats and then they laugh at you when the hat that they were swimming in almost rips due to the largeness of your head. Maybe that's just me. Do I have a large head to fit all my brains? Do I have a large tumour that is growing and making my skull expand? What's the deal? Alls I can say is my poor mother! Another reason to like hair is because it is so changeable. You can colour it, you can cut it and shape it to suit you, you can pull it up, have it down and grow it if you get sick of high maintenance do's. It's probably the only part of yourself that you don't mind when it 'looks fat' and hate it when it looks 'too thin with no bounce'...hair is great...And lastly hair is also great because generally no one else has exactly the same hair colour as you...oh maybe that's just me too ;-)

This one's for the girls...

Mmmmmmmm yummy - but maybe a lil too ripply...

First

So here goes...I decided I wanted to be in the 'cool' group for a change, and the 'cool' group write blogs...I've never been in the cool group before. Never had a desire to be. I don't think they class themselves as 'cool' either. Cos that would be 'uncool'. They all looked like characters from 90210 so we called them the "nine-ohs". Oh that was in high school. I'm not in high school anymore. I don't have that security. I have the insecurity of not being good enough for any number of jobs better than the one I've got. But I know I'm ten million times better and more qualified than a great many number of people. I don't make sense. Well, I make sense to me, but probably not to anyone else. But that's ok, cos this is MY blog. And I'm cool. Or is that uncool? Bare with me. I'm likely to get worse. But your feedback is much appreciated. Oh and I have a rather large tendency to exaggerate - if you hadn't figured that out already...I'm not usually one to blow my own trumpet, not at all.
